Emmanuel House

Emmanuel House

Emmanuel House supports the most vulnerable citizens in Nottingham without prejudice or judgment in order to tackle isolation, vulnerability and homelessness. They strive to provide diverse and accessible services that meet basic needs and empower individuals to make positive changes in their lives.

Emmanuel House services, and the Winter Shelter they co-ordinate, are an integral part of their plan to reduce homelessness in the city of Nottingham.

In 2018/19 Emmanuel House had a footfall of 20,290 entrances. They presently welcome about 60 people each weekday and 40 people on Saturdays and Sundays.

Emmanuel House serves over 70 hot meals a day and provides basic services such as hot drinks, showers, a laundry facility and access to clean, dry clothes.

Access to Emmanuel House’s services and access to the Nottingham Winter Shelter are FREE. Any individual, no matter their economic status, resident status, sexual orientation, gender identity, race or country of origin are able to access the service.

It costs £10,000 a week to run their service and receive no statutory funding. They are reliant on the goodwill of individuals, businesses and groups to support them with fundraising to enable them to provide support and services to beneficiaries.
