Give Support

As well as donating and volunteering, there are plenty of other ways you can make a difference to homeless people in Nottingham by supporting with the different initiatives below.

Inform Framework About Homeless People

Although there are great charities in Nottingham offering help to homeless people, they can only help the people they know about. If you see someone sleeping rough in Nottingham please call Framework on 0800 0665356 (24/7, free from landlines and mobiles) so that their Street Outreach team will be able to visit them and offer support.

Donate Food And Toiletries

The Trussell Trust works with local communities to give out food and toiletries parcels to people in need with the aim of stopping hunger and providing emergency support to those in crisis. You can support the work of the Trussell Trust at local food banks by picking up an extra item or two to donate with your shopping.

Donate Furniture And Clothing

Declutter and support a worthwhile cause by donating any good condition furniture, clothing and appliances to The Arches. With collections available for larger items as well as a drop off point, this is an easy way of supporting someone in need.

Buy A Suspended Coffee

Popular across the globe, the idea of the suspended coffee scheme is that you can pay for an extra drink when you buy your morning caffeine fix which will then be given to someone in need. Local independent business Wired Café Bar on Pelham Street offers a suspended coffee scheme, meaning you can do some good with your morning latte.

Buy A Pay It Forward Meal

Similar to the ‘Suspended Coffee’ scheme, local pub The Malt Cross on St James Street offers the option to buy a ‘Pay It Forward’ hot meal. These meals are then given out in the evenings to those in need at Grace Church in the city centre, and are a lifeline for homeless people.
