YMCA

YMCA

Nottinghamshire YMCA provides temporary supported accommodation for vulnerable young people and adults across Nottinghamshire and East Riding. By managing accommodation and operating a multi-stage programme of resettlement, YMCA help individuals to regain their independence and reach their full potential.

While living at the YMCA, each resident is allocated a key worker who meets with them regularly to offer support with any issues and help to plan short and long-term goals.

Support services include:

  • Working with residents to help sustain their tenancies and achieve independent living
  • Guidance in developing basic living skills
  • Managing finances and weekly budgets
  • Employment support and training through projects and courses

They also offer refugee support and referrals to other specialist agencies. To help develop core life and social skills, our team offers a programme of onsite activities for residents ranging from creative arts classes to cookery skills sessions in our hostel’s fully-equipped Training Kitchen, kindly sponsored by LandAid.
